EccyMap to Croydon Cartoon Club

Image quality similar to Fall sound quality.

Steps complete with hummables to keep you going. Takes approx 15mins.

Aerial view at bottom of page.

Step 1. East Croydon Station.

Turn right on exit into George St and go down the hill.

On my way I looked up
I saw turrets of Victorian wealth
I saw John the ex-fox
Sleeping in some outside bogs
There's a silent rumble
In the buildings of the night council
It's a meeting of controllers

Step 2. George St.

Walk down George Street to the big crossroads at Blockbusters.

Desperate for entertainment
So I turn the TV on
There's people jumping up and down
Then they have the panel on
And they talk a lot of wind

Step 3. George St (continued)

Cross over and continue down George Street past Allders tram stop.

But in the town
They'll stop me in the shops
Verily they'll track me down
Touch my shoulder and ignore my dumb mission

Step 4. Continue past Allders Tram Stop in George Street.

At end of George Street turn right into North End pedestrian precinct.

They're always hitting on me
But I'm getting thin
From waiting on
They just want me to be e
Behind the counter

Step 5. North End pedestrian precinct.

Walk past main entrance to Allders all the way down to crossroads at Maplins Electronics.

And your wife
And your settee
Don't wanna be mistreated by neo-bourgeoisie
I'm in a bourgeois town

West Croydon.

In the cars or on the street.
If you smile you are a creep.

Step 6. London Road.

Continue past Maplins and you are now in West Croydon.

(West Croydon Rail Station is next to the Star Wars Police Vehicle.)

See the street-litter twisting in the wind
Crisp bags turning
See B&H cartons laughing in the wind
Road-litter turning

Step 7. Continue past Lidl

Walk (or run) past Lidl supermarket.

Don't touch that phone dial.
Stick with kindred

Step 8. Continue past Citroen Dealer

Walk or run past the Citroen dealer and cross over when the cars have gone.

Every car I see
Is always picking on me
They take a left turn when I cross, guaranteed

Step 9. Cartoon Club

Still standing as at 24/1/2006.

It was one of the best shows ever seen
Ludicrous, majestic and exhilarating

Happy snaps.

Cops can't catch criminals
But what the heck, they're not too bad, they talk to God
.......
.and give you a free video of yourself being mugged.

Posh for the area Pub on the way.

I eat hot dogs
I live on pies
I'm 45
Cause I am Jack

(A bloke and big TV camera on tripod in front. Must be him looking after us 24/7.)

This is 'bruv' or 'mate' on piecework mending the phone booths.

Work in progress
It is the outsidedness flavour of it
You wanner
A work in progress
Due about 2026

Decent hospital just round the corner.

I see trouble on the streets
Fearing catastrophe to meet
Walk down the devil's boulevard
But still my heart is hard

If you are winging it.
